31 Aug 2010 2 Comments
Hi there
This is my latest layout. I used a sketch 214 from Scrapbook Challenges, shown below.
Sketch 214
The layout below is my take on the sketch. I knew I wanted to include the magic mesh and bit of paint. I really love how the layout has turned out.
In this layout I used:
I Love You stamp (I dont know the make but it had the following printed on the side – PSX SK609B)
Magenta – laser cut swirls
Mulberry Street – Wild Roses Gold
Luster Rubs – Silver Grey & Russett (rubbed onto the grungeboard arrow)
Thickers – Black Rootbeer Float
Crate Paper – Brook Collection – Sunshine & Downstream.
Green acrylic paint
Sassafras Lass cardstock stickers – Woodland Whimsy
Large Green and Small White button – from my button tin.
Grungeboard circle arrow – Tim Holtz
Red Magic Mesh
Flower/Star words – from a set I got from QVC.
Words strip – K&Co
I have also been admiring layouts by Natalie who is also on Scrapbook challenges. Part of the inspiration for this layout came from Natalie and her fab creations. See one of her numerous cool layouts below:
Natalie has a fantasic blog which you can find here at My Creative Therapy.
Anyway, any questions just ask. Hope you like it.

New Small Shelving
29 Aug 2010 1 Comment
I visited Tynemouth market today to see if I could pick up some ephemera or any unusual bits and pieces.
See photos of the market below
The market is on at the station on Saturday & Sundays and you can pick up antiques, sweets, delectable cakes or second-hand books, amongst other things.
I love it as the station is quite old and there is lots of detailed ironwork to look at while you are shopping.
Anyway, all of my Cosmic Shimmer Mists, Glitters, Flock, Twinkling H20s, Alcohol inks & Glossy/Crackle accents have been shoved in a basket and been put on a shelf on my bookcase.
The trouble is I sometimes forget there are there. When I was at the market today I spotted this little shelving unit. See below:
As you can see from the leaflet it is meant to display little trucks and vans but for £2 I thought it would be ideal for all my little bottles are teeny jars.
So now I have them right in front of me, I can see them all and I don’t have to rake through the basket anymore to find what I want.
I think it was £2 well spent!!
I am sure all of that colour in front me while I am scrapping will be a big inspiration.
Bye for now.
A day without scrapping is like a day without sunshine!

My ‘Beach Babe’ layout was featured in a Gauche Alchemy post earlier this month. I noticed while I was catching up on the posts I had missed.
You can see my layout in the post here.
I was over the moon to realise they had shown my layout on their blog. I love Gauche Alchemy and their fab kits, which are unlike what you would normally get.
Check out everything they have by clicking on the blinky above.
Bye for now

22 Aug 2010 Leave a Comment
Thank you for stopping by my blog, I regulary post my top 10 of differnt things, i.e. Leading men, cartoons, etc, but this week I thought I woud do a craft related top 5 instead of a top 10.
Top 5
I wanted to list my favourite patterned paper manufacturers and I thought 5 would force me to really think which I really love best.
For some of my favourites I will include a layout of mine if possible.
1. Sassafras Lass

I just love, love, love Sassafras Lass.
2.October Afternoon
3. My Minds Eye
3. Basic Grey
4. BoBunny
5. Cosmo Cricket
Well, those are my favourites and I have to say it was hard to chose them. There are some many brilliant and inspiring paper manufactures out there its hard not to buy them all.
Other manufactures I love are…Kaiser Craft, GCD Studios, Flair Designs, K & Co, Crate Paper, Bam Pop, Graphic 45, just to name a few.
I would love to hear about your favourite 5… or more, so don’t be shy.
By for now
