With You

I love this photograph that I took on the Metro (like the Underground) of my mother Grace and my grandson Jacob.  My mother will readily admit that it’s not often nowadays that she take a good photograph so I was ‘over the moon’ with this photograph of them both and love the colour tone of it as well

To put this layout together I used sketch 107  from Creative Scrappers as inspiration, I also used challenge 17 from Scrap it with a Song to help with the  layout title – using lyrics from the song: With You by Jessica Simpson.

To put this layout together I used:

Label Holder -Making Memories – Rectangle – Honeydew

Journaling Block – Making Memories – Noteworthy-Delaney

Scalloped Border – Papermania – Hampstead Glitter Transfers

Green Patterned Paper – BoBunny – Kiwi Double Dot

Star Brads (velvet) – Animal Crackers – Jack

Alphas – Thickers Foam  – Cream Soda – White

Patterned Paper – Flair Designs – Precious Grandkids

Ribbon from a local haberdashery

Fibres (free with an order)

I really enjoyed creating this layout and I think it must be my favourite so far.

I hope you like it.

Birthday Card – Son

It is my sons birthday coming up and as always I was stuck on what to do for his birthday card.  I think male cards are always harder to make anyway.

I decided I wanted to make an easel card as I havnt made one before and it didn’t look hard to make.

I used some instructions from the ‘Whiff of Joy blogspot’ which were really good. Thanks Jacqui. xXx.

I found the card quite easy to make and the instructions easy to follow.

I hope you like it

Paul – 18 Months

This is the 1st layout I have done since I have been on holiday.  I am trying to catch up with some sketches I liked before I went away.  I used this sketch from Creative Scrappers (#106) by July Gaceta.   Thanks JulyxXx

The photo is of my husband Paul at 18 months old.

I used a standard 12 x 12 cardstock and added an embossed peice of turquiose Core’dinaitons cardstock and sanded this to to reveal the paler core.

I cut a wavy piece from Sassafras Lass paper and added flocked stickers by MME – Bloom and Grow range.  I used a star stamp I got free from Craft Stamper and stamped this on a scrap piece of cream card and used a metal ring to frame it.

I used a scrap left over from cutting the wavy paper and stamped on top of this and in the other corner with a dotty corner stamp.  I finally added a journaling block, a few flocked star brads and a tag from a t-shirt I bought when I was away.

Hope you like it.

Which WAY?

I don’t know how clear it is in the photograph, but I am stood in front of a sign which says Pennine Way on both sides.  I have played on the word WAY as part of a double meaning, if you get what I mean?

I used a kit from Gauche Alchemy called Pitching a Tent. I think I have made 3 layouts using this kit and still have loads left.

Hope you like it.
