21st Birthday Card

This is the card I made for my sons 21st birthday.  I duplicated a design I saw in Creative Cardmaking.

I used papers that come free with a magazine although I cannot remember which one (as I seem to buy so many).  I wanted to keep it pretty simple colour-wise and boys/men don’t seem to like fussy cards.

I am quite pleased with the result and the folding and cutting to get the effect was really easy.

Hope you like it.

Birthday Card

Birthday Card for my purple loving daughter in law.

For this base I used a A4 peice of Kanban foiled swirls cardstock, then added a smaller than A5 peice of purple mirror card.  I added corner & happy birthday semtiment peel offs and stickers for the Panduro Tilda range.  To finish off I added a length of purple organza ribbon and tied it at the front in a soft knot.

I lated added ’21’ to the card using American Crafts Glitter Thickers when I remembered it was he 21st Birthday-DOH!

Hope you like it.

Mothers Day Cards

Cards made from free card kit that came with an issued of Quick Cards magazine.  This is the first time I have made a waterfall card.

It was much easier than I thought, I think it just sounds more complicated when you reed it.  Anyway I don’t think they are too bad for a first try.

1st Birthday card for my grandson

This is the 1st birthday card I have made for my grandson.

Although I have set up this blog for my scrapbooking efforts there will be from time cards I have made for close family friends.

I occasionally make mini books, so they will make an appearnce from time to time as well.

Anyway to put this together using a piece of 12×12 bazzill dotted swiss cardstock, elements from a Hot of the Press birthday kit and glitter Thickers.  A simple card but nice and colourful and effective I think.
