With You

I love this photograph that I took on the Metro (like the Underground) of my mother Grace and my grandson Jacob.  My mother will readily admit that it’s not often nowadays that she take a good photograph so I was ‘over the moon’ with this photograph of them both and love the colour tone of it as well

To put this layout together I used sketch 107  from Creative Scrappers as inspiration, I also used challenge 17 from Scrap it with a Song to help with the  layout title – using lyrics from the song: With You by Jessica Simpson.

To put this layout together I used:

Label Holder -Making Memories – Rectangle – Honeydew

Journaling Block – Making Memories – Noteworthy-Delaney

Scalloped Border – Papermania – Hampstead Glitter Transfers

Green Patterned Paper – BoBunny – Kiwi Double Dot

Star Brads (velvet) – Animal Crackers – Jack

Alphas – Thickers Foam  – Cream Soda – White

Patterned Paper – Flair Designs – Precious Grandkids

Ribbon from a local haberdashery

Fibres (free with an order)

I really enjoyed creating this layout and I think it must be my favourite so far.

I hope you like it.

Cousins Layout-Sketch

This is another layout where I have used a sketch.  This one came from Scrap Tiffany’s Blog -see the post for Monday, August 02, 2010 (Week #31 Challenge, Part 1).

I have  been sorting throught some old photos recently and found this one taken a few years ago.  The photo is of my cousin Steven and me at my other cousins (Kevins) wedding.  I think it is a lovely photograph of us both and I thought it definately deserved to scrapped.

I really enjoyed putting this layout together and using the sketch.

Layout created using:

BoBunny Chunky Charms – Swirls and Brackets

American Crafts Medium Jewel Brads – Aqua & Mulberry

12 x12 CK Margo Vintage Vine Glitter Paper

BoBunny My Darling Cut Out (Circle)

K & Company Wedding Tag Pad

Papermania Adhesive Pearls – Red

Anyway I hope you like my layout.

Hair-raising – Sketch 110 from Creative Scrappers

This is a layout about myself (for a change) and the flat top haircut I decided to have (somewhat unwisely) when I was about 17 years old.  Unfortunatly the quality of the photograph isnt very good, but I still wanted to scrap it.

I think the photograph was taken on Tynemouth Longsands but I am not 100% sure.

I used sketch 110 from Creative Scrappers which was my main inspiration.

I used:

Bazzill Basics in two different colours (sorry I don’t know which)

Patterned Paper by Kaisercraft – Sweets – Raspberry Cream & Creme Caramel

2 paper strips from Simply Cards and Papercrafts – Free Kit – The Never Not Collection.

A journalling block from a free paper pad from Cardmaking and Papercraft – MME – Quite Contrary.

Chipboard flowers.

Thickers in Rainboots – Colour Powder.

Kaisercraft Rhinestones – Amber coloured.

Liquid Pearls in Mint Green.

Ooh, I nearly forgot – I Cosmic Shimmers on the chipboard flowers after embossing each of them with different pattern using my Cuttlebug.

I had fun scrapping this photograph as it brought back memories long forgotten.  I was going out with this lovely guy at the time and he had a ‘flat top’ haircut and I remember thinking ‘I should have my hair like that’.  Well I don’t really think it was the best style for me.

Hope you like it.

Boys Rule Scrapbook Layout

I have had these photos for a while and have wanted to scrap them but never found the right paper.  I bought these squares of  Cosmo Cricket cardstock as part of a pack which had been cut up and put together as a mix and match bag.

I just seemed to throw this layout together (I didn’t use a sketch) and it didnt take me long at all.

Besides the Cosmo Cricket papers I also used:

  • 12×12 Plain Papermania cardstock
  • Patterned paper (dots) not sure which brand, sorry.
  • American Craft felt photo corners
  • Felt dragonflies (unsure of brand)
  • Creative Imaginations tags
  • Ribbon (bloom)
  • Fishy brads (part of a mixed bag)
  • Papermania brads (green)
  • Papermania stamps (ant and flying bug)

I drew around BoBunny letters for the title.  The red tags secured by the green brads came from a box holding a toy bus, these secured the bus to the box along with wire tags.

Hope you like it.

My Baby Layout

I put this layout together using a sketch from Scrap Tiffany (May 30th Post) by using it as inspiration. See below for sketch.

I used plain Papermania cardstock as a base and added green Bazzill Bling cardstock along with Sassafras Lass papers and journalling stickers.

I also used a tag from a top I bought to mat my photo onto and used some new Making Memories stamps I had just bought that day for the small stars in the corners and the splat/blob in the left hand corner.  All in all I am quite happy with the outcome.

Hope you like it.

ATC Bright Circles

Created using stamps for Basic Gray.  I stamped around the edge with the flower stamp in bright yellow.  I then stamped the centre images 12 times, 6 on the base card and 6 more times on scrap card.

I coloured both in with Sakura Stardust pens which as you can see gives it a lovley finish.

Hope you like it.

ATC Flowers and Hexagons

Created using the Paper Artsy – Squiggly Mini 10 stamp, some sparkly hexagon stickers and Whispers pens.  Another simple ATC.

Hope you like it.

For You – ATC

For those of you who don’t know about Artist Trading Cards or ATC please read info below.

Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards,or 2 ½ X 3 ½ inches (6 cm X 9 cm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.). The cards are usually traded or exchanged rather than sold.

For further info click on this link.

————————————————————————————————-

I have lots of ATC to show you, but I will show you this one for now.

I stamped the image twice once of the atc and once on a scrap of white card.  I coloured around the stamped image using Sakura Stardust pens and used a Whispers inpad to ink the atc card blue.

Hope you like it.
