My Baby Layout

I put this layout together using a sketch from Scrap Tiffany (May 30th Post) by using it as inspiration. See below for sketch.

I used plain Papermania cardstock as a base and added green Bazzill Bling cardstock along with Sassafras Lass papers and journalling stickers.

I also used a tag from a top I bought to mat my photo onto and used some new Making Memories stamps I had just bought that day for the small stars in the corners and the splat/blob in the left hand corner.  All in all I am quite happy with the outcome.

Hope you like it.

A day without scrapping is like a day without sunshine.

Paul – 18 Months

This is the 1st layout I have done since I have been on holiday.  I am trying to catch up with some sketches I liked before I went away.  I used this sketch from Creative Scrappers (#106) by July Gaceta.   Thanks JulyxXx

The photo is of my husband Paul at 18 months old.

I used a standard 12 x 12 cardstock and added an embossed peice of turquiose Core’dinaitons cardstock and sanded this to to reveal the paler core.

I cut a wavy piece from Sassafras Lass paper and added flocked stickers by MME – Bloom and Grow range.  I used a star stamp I got free from Craft Stamper and stamped this on a scrap piece of cream card and used a metal ring to frame it.

I used a scrap left over from cutting the wavy paper and stamped on top of this and in the other corner with a dotty corner stamp.  I finally added a journaling block, a few flocked star brads and a tag from a t-shirt I bought when I was away.

Hope you like it.

Happy Birthday Paul

This is the card I made for my husbands birthday recently.  He is not one for showy or bright cards so I decided ot use kraft card as a base and added Basic Grey carstock stickers to the base, along with some strips of ribbon and a little bit of bling in the shape of stars.  Simple.

Hope you like it

Happy Campers

I l ove this paper, which I got from the US of A when I order a whole batch of bits and bobs that you cannot or never see in the UK.  I loved the print of the paper which has lovely colours.

I really only had to add the photograph, camping related words and the title and I as done.  I made a mat for the photograph by using orange core’dinations cardstock which I sanded heavily and then stamped little leaves on it.

Hope you like it.

Cheeky Grin

This a a simple layout I did of my husband Paul.  The 1st thing I thought of when I say this photograph was ‘cheeky grin’, hence the title.

I put this together from a large kit I bought via QVC.    The layout consists of.

12×12 patterned cardstock.

3 medium sized brads

I tag, which I punched out and attached ribbon to.

Stripey paper, which I matted onto.

Alphas, which stared out a sort of grey camo colour and I rubbed over with blue ink.

1 WRMK Gromlet

1 flower shape – embossed in Cuttlebug houndstouch embossing folder and then glazed.

3 photo anchors with 3 v.small brads to hold them in place.

And that’s it.  They has been journalled onto now, but I rarelycomplete them before taking a photograph.

Hope you like it.

Lucky Us

I am just getting interested into Cosmic Shimmer/Glimmer Mists and wanted to have a play around with them.

This is the result. Pictures of my husband and I with our grandson Jacob.

The photographs were taken just before we attended a family Chrsitening and my grandson looked so cute in his little suit.

Handsome Pair

This is a layout about my son and grandson.

I have been hoarding these Sassafras Lass papers for ages (amongst a big pile of others) and I have finally got around to using them, instead of stroking them.

I love this picture of htem together as they both look relaxed and happy.

I used a sketch number 20  from Creative Scrappers (see link in my sidebar).  Sketches 1 – 75 are available to download from their website.

Boy Oh Boy

Got two new layouts for you to look at.  This is the 1st.

I was initially inspired by the free spring papers that came with the Scrapbook Magazine – Issue 45.

I also had help with a sketch  from Witty Living (sketch number 18).  This gives you a list which tells you how many photos there are in each sketch. Click Here to check them out!

I also had 4 very small photos I have had for ages that I have been wanting to scrap of my son (well 3 of my son and one of something elsoe).

Anyway here it is.

The photos are of Jason at around 3, 9 & 12 months old.  The other photo is of a cross stitch sampler which I scanned.

My Silly Boys

This layout was put together as part of a challenge on Creative Scrappers.

I liked the look of the sketch for challenge 97 as I think I am normally a ‘cluttery’ scrapper and this sketch leaves lots of white space.

I used Basic Grey – Archaic papers, Papermania alphas, Maya Road chipboard tags, others items were die cut paper buttons, sticky double sided foam letters with glitter added and faux leather straps (recycled).

I am pleased with the end result.

My Silly Boys

I bought an 12×12 acetate over about a year or so ago and never got around to using it until I put this layout together.

They layout is about the trip we made to the Nevis Range – Scotland, which include all the deatils about how hight it was, how many gondalas (cable car carriages) there where, etc.

I used a K&Co patterned paper, Making Memories Noteworthy paper and the overlay. as well as lots of little arrows pointing to My mother and father in law and my husband and myself in the photo.

This was the 1st time I had used an overlay of this size.
